The highly abridged story: I play keys, specifically the keytar - an 80's-style shoulder-strap synthesizer thing. I write funky songs filled with metaphors involving space, science and general geek lore, but the main point is the groove - words are just there for those obsessed enough to listen, for everyone else they just provide texture. I usually play with just a drummer and a bass player, but I also like to rock out some jazz/funk/soul tunes with whatever horn players and backup vocalists want to come along for the ride.
